The BtVS cast is huffing helium!

Or something. I don't know. Working on a challange entry for femslash_land and would you believe it's hard to write for a character in a show you haven't seen in, oh, about five or six years. I used to love it but I don't have the last two seasons on DVD and I don't download illigally. So, now I'm streaming it illigally instead, which I'm telling myself is better, although I have now idea how it could be.
Watching: 7x13 - The Killer In Me
All the girls sound like they're imitating the Chipmunks. Anya doesn't sound as odd, because I guess I always found her kind of high-pitched, and Dawn isn't nearly as squeeky as the others, but the early scene with Willow making tea and Buffy teasing her? It was creepy, like they were trying to sound/behave like pre-teens.
Plus, Andrew; very effeminate, but that's not any different from what I remember. However, was Warren always that TV-gay sounding? Or is it supposed to be beacuse he is actually Willow? Because I could get behind that except that once Willow begins to adopt his personality, she stops sounding so irritating.
And Amy? She didn't sound too odd, either, but there was something about her inflections and her expressions that were bugging me until I realized her manerisims were reminding me of Det. Lockley. So now I'm trying to puzzle if she did it pre-rat and Kate was behaving like Amy or only after they made her human, in which case, Amy's acting like Kate (but really, I know it's only a technacality, because it's on the directors, not the actress, either way).
And by the way, is it just me or did it really look like a come-on when Amy said "that must have been some kiss"?
.
and now, I shall quote you what I've always found to be the memorable quote in the episode. Which, now that I think about it, is pretty odd given all that *guh* Willow/Kennedy-ness and how this isn't either character.
Giles: I assume there's a perfectly reasonable and not at all insane explanation here.
Anya: We thought you might be non-corporeal evil.
Dawn: We got a call. We couldn't remember you touching anything.
Xander: We had to make sure you were OK. We were worried.
Giles: Oh. That's very sweet. Now wait a minute; you think I'm evil... if I bring a group of girls on a camping trip and don't touch them?
